International Conflicts

This blog is created to register major* international conflicts since 1950. Most of the conflicts between 1900 and 1950 were revolt against colonialism and freedom struggles, most of them were achieved in that period of time.

I am in the process of identying Geo-politcal conflicts since 1950, including political, cultural and religious, ethnic and others. As I find the data, I will update the dates. The labels on the blog will be same as the areas listed below. The list is ad-infinitum.

There are atleast 192 members of the United Nations and conflict is going on in at least 10 areas in any given time. The active spots are colored in Red.
  1. Afghanistan - since early eighties
  2. Angola
  3. Chechnya - early 2000
  4. China
  5. Congo
  6. Cuba
  7. Darfur - since late nineties
  8. Gujarat - since 2002
  9. Iraq - Since 2003
  10. Israel-Palestine - since 1948
  11. Kashmir - since 1948
  12. Kenya
  13. North Korea - since 1952
  14. Pakistan
  15. Rwanda
  16. Sri Lanka
  17. Venezuela
  18. Vietnam - Mid sixties

* Major conflict can be listed as conflict between groups where deaths of more than 100 people is shamefully noted.

I invite articles, commments and notes in the comments section below.
